Organomation’s line of MULTIVAPs are extremely versatile and user friendly instruments. The 9, 30, 48, and 80 position MULTIVAPs (Catalog #11809, #11830, #11848, and #11880) are high temperature dry block models. These instruments contain a rectangular gas distribution system mounted on a frame and dual post assembly, similar to our N-EVAPs. The manifold delivers nitrogen gas to the needles or glass pipettes and onto the sample’s surface resulting in rapid solvent evaporation. In order to conserve nitrogen gas, the manifold has toggle switches which allow individual rows to be shut off when evaporating batches at less than full capacity. The 80 position MULTIVAP will come standard with a needle guide for your convenience, and an optional needle guide is available for the 30 and 48 position models. Nitrogen gas flow is controlled by an adjustable flow meter. The 9, 30, and 48 position MULTIVAPs use heated aluminum dry blocks to reach evaporative temperatures ranging from 30°C to 130°C. Sample blocks are customized for the users sample size for maximum and even heat transfer. Please specify sample size (outside diameter and length) when placing an order. All models are equipped with high temperature limit switches to promote safety. All models can withstand contact with organic solvents. Acid resistant models are also available for corrosive solutions. Please feel free to contact us for any specific questions about these instruments.

EPA Method 1699: Pesticides in Water, Soil, Sediment, Biosolids, and Tissue by HRGC/HRMS
This method is used to determine organochlorine, organophosphorus, triazine, and pyrethroid pesticides in samples of water, soil, sediment, biosolids and tissue by high resolution gas chromatography/high resolution mass spectrometry (HRGC/HRMS). After macro concentration, the extracts are concentrated to their final volume using nitrogen evaporation. The dry block MULTIVAPs suit this procedure because they can fit up to 80 samples in one block. The MULTIVAP dry block instruments have a temperature range of 30ºC-130ºC, which allows for evaporation of a wide range of solvents, including methylene chloride.
